America 250 at the Rock

Rockcastle County students in Mr. Conforti’s AP and Dual Credit U.S. History classes are gearing up to celebrate “America at 250” by creating Pocket Museum displays highlighting the importance of Rockcastle County History and connecting the development and growth of the county to U.S. History, focusing on ideals established in the Declaration of Independence.

Students are working to create exhibits that will be displayed at a Gala hosted by the Rockcastle County School District and then the exhibits will be displayed at the local elementary schools.

Mr. Conforti’s students have been working closely with members of the Rockcastle County Historical Society to accomplish their task. Pictured here is Debbie Brown, representing the Rockcastle County Historical Society and the Daughters of the American Revolution.
