This year’s Career Fair was entirely student-initiated and student-led, highlighting the initiative and leadership of our students. Emma Lou Montgomery, a senior, took the lead in organizing the event and coordinating with local businesses and organizations to create a valuable opportunity for her peers.
The Career Fair gave students direct access to professionals across a range of industries. Instead of simply reading about careers, students were able to ask questions, hear practical advice, and learn about real pathways after high school—whether that includes college, technical programs, military service, or entering the workforce.
Local partners generously shared their time and experiences, helping students better understand what different careers require and what steps they can begin taking now. The conversations throughout the day encouraged students to think intentionally about their futures and see the connection between their education and the real world.
Most importantly, this event demonstrated the impact of student initiative. By identifying a need and leading the effort to address it, a senior student created an experience that benefited the entire school community.
