After learning about the feudal system in medieval Europe, students were randomly assigned a role in the feudal system ranging from kings and queens all the way down to peasants. Like feudalism, students randomly selected their role in life – just like those in medieval Europe were born into their social status. Students learned about the power imbalance, led peasant revolts, and learned why feudalism was a failed system.
