On Friday, November 14, 2025, Lynn Camp Middle High School celebrated Veterans Day with style and appreciation for the bravest among us. Veterans from our staff and school community were honored with a special luncheon prepared by our amazing cafeteria staff, which is managed by Jessica Gambel. Our wonderful FRYSC director, Darya Logan, decorated for the event and created an atmosphere that made our veterans and their families feel extra welcomed. Students of all grade levels contributed to the gratitude shown by writing heartfelt thank you notes. Brandi Bowling’s Digital Arts classes helped to design and print beautiful cards and notes of gratitude for all veteran guests. I, Rhyana Welch, designed the program and helped to organize the events for the school-wide assembly. The keynote speaker of the program is a proud alumni of LCMHS and veteran, Tommy Mills. He delivered a wonderful message that inspired students to be proud of where they come from and to consistently move forward in life with integrity in all they do! And, last but not least, the LCMHS Choirs were led by Jackie Melton. Her students sang multiple songs to invoke patriotism and honor each specific branch of military. This was a successful program that showcased our bravest community members that left a lasting impact on all in attendance!
