Gemini helps me to create and tailor exams to exactly what I am teaching in class. When I am creating an exam, I first ensure that my questions align with both content standards (which also is connected in the everyday material that is being given or taught to students). When these standards, slideshows, and note pages are all interconnected, I am able to insert those materials into Gemini to develop a study guide for students to utilize when preparing for the exam.
Then, I reviewed the study guide to ensure that it included exactly what I wanted it to. After reviewing it, I placed it back into Gemini and asked it to generate multiple choice questions so that I could find content-specific and grade-level appropriate questions to ask. I also prompted it to give other question types, as the testing software that I use utilizes many different types of test questions.
Google Gemini helps me to stay standards-focused while ensuring that questioning is based upon what is taught in class. When using these softwares and inserting my materials, it helped me to gauge a more accurate representation of if my students achieved the success criteria.
Gemini and Notebook LM are both great tools to utilize within the classroom. I typically like to use them as a way to utilize content to create extra resources for already created content. This helps educators in a multitude of ways; giving ample time for creation of content, ensuring content is standard-based, and ensuring it is grade-level appropriate.
